Demand IQ helps residential solar providers increase sales and automate their customer acquisition process with their lead capture solutions. As the company’s first Head of Product, I led the product and design team. Below I'll share a few notable accomplishments.
I was tasked by my CEO to figure out a way to diversify our revenues. After extensive market analysis and stakeholder interviews, we decided to pilot a solar canvassing app. Our core target was SMBs, and we worked closely with a small group of customers to build out the feature-set required to support their sales teams in the field. Within 4 months of launch, the app became a major contributor to the company's long-term financial success.
I led the launch of a new product - a solar canvassing mobile app (for iOS and Android). The app was built on a core API that also powers the second generation of the flagship web-based lead capture product. This significant multi-product SaaS ecosystem.
Introduced a new chat-based lead capture format, and led the overhaul of the company's legacy stepper-based lead capture form.
Added personalized teaser cards before the lead capture form to educate and build trust with homeowners before asking them to provide their personal information.
Added personalized launchers that solar installers could customize so the lead capture forms could be accessed from multiple locations on their site and would fit in with their existing design and branding.
Led 6 innovation projects, exploring new industries, new product lines, technology integrations and strategic partnerships.
Mentored junior team members, defined team OKRs and individual quarterly goals.
Introduced and codified a product development process to keep all departments and senior leadership aligned on priorities and progress.
Initiated a weekly all-team meeting to encourage communication and collaboration between departments.
